The bioinformatics minor at UA 糖心视频logo trains students in the areas of information science and biology and prepares them to apply computational techniques to a variety of life science areas. Building upon a student鈥檚 major in biology, computer science, or information science, students are prepared to work in this exciting, fast-growing, and interdisciplinary field.
The minor is jointly offered by the Biology Department and Information Science Department at UA 糖心视频logo. While it is intended for students majoring in biology, computer science or information science, students with other majors are welcome. However, they may need to take additional courses to complete the minor requirements. There are 11 hours of prerequisite courses.
Required Courses
Students seeking the bioinformatics minor must complete 19 hours of required courses.
