“Request Workday Security Roles” form is now live at . You can access it via the main navigation bar on the page. Please note users must be logged in to access it. In the event you are not logged in, you will be prompted to do so using your Original NetID credentials.

At this time 鈥淩equest Workday Security Roles鈥 is only to be utilized for requesting security roles in support of various Procurement Business Processes. Listed below are the requests a user can currently make, please note most of these requests will require managers and deans to sign off for approval.

  • Create a purchase requisition (no approval).
  • Review and approve all spending in the assigned cost center as well as, initiate assignment of costing allocations, payroll accounting adjustments and budget amendments.
  • Approve spend and expense transactions.
  • Create requisitions and initiates change order requests on spend.
  • Create a supplier contract for term contracts.
  • Create a spend authorization or expense report on behalf of another person.
  • Verify credit card transactions on behalf of another cardholder.

This is a friendly Workday reminder for managers that all 鈥楨dit Position Restrictions鈥 tasks are due this Friday, February 12. The Department of Human Resources will not be able to launch performance evaluations for the campus until all classified and non-classified positions are complete. If you missed last week鈥檚 office hours that focused on editing position restrictions, a is available. Links to related quick reference guides (QRGs) are provided below.

The 鈥淧erformance Reviews for Managers鈥 training is available in the Workday Learning module. From the Workday homepage, click on the Learning icon and navigate to the 鈥楳ost Popular鈥 section where the training will be listed.

The timeline for performance evaluations has been revised to allow managers more time for one-on-one discussion sessions with their employees. Please see the revised timeline below.

  • Feb 8 – Performance Evaluation training sessions for managers available in Workday
  • Feb 12 – Deadline for Edit Position Restrictions
  • Feb 17 – Performance Evaluations launched in Workday
  • Feb 17-19 – Office hours for Performance Evaluations
  • Mar 3 – First draft of performance evaluations due to HR
  • Mar 12 – HR to complete first review of Performance Evaluations
  • Mar 15-31 – Managers to complete one-on-one session with employees
  • Mar 31 – ALL PERFORMANCE EVALUATIONS DUE
NOTE: Performance Evaluations for Faculty and Administration will be performed offline using the standard process. Documents will be uploaded into Workday upon completion of the performance evaluation process.

Workday Learning will be the new home for Workday training beginning January 4. The move to Workday Learning will allow current and new employees to access training materials directly in Workday.

On January 4, all employees will have the Workday Learning app deployed to their Workday homepage; no action is required to have the app appear. After clicking the Workday Learning app, employees can search for materials and enroll in courses. Employees will receive a Workday notification to alert them to their assigned course. Please review this to support accessing Workday Learning!
