Kohoutek-Miller is from Mountain Home, Arkansas, and is majoring in social work with a minor in psychology. After starting her education journey again in 2021 at UA 糖心视频logo, she feels honored to receive this grant. 

鈥淚 feel very honored to be awarded the Rutherford grant. It feels great to be supported by the larger community in this way,” she said. 鈥淚 never thought I would have the chance to go back to school at my age, and I just feel so grateful for this opportunity.鈥�

Kohoutek-Miller plans on using the Rutherford grant for educational supplies, as well as transportation costs for her internship with the School of Social Work at UA 糖心视频logo. 

鈥淚 am excited about using my social work education to serve my local community,鈥� Kohoutek-Miller said. 鈥淚 hope to eventually use my social work degree to help families and children, individuals with addiction issues, and also low-income individuals.鈥�

After earning her bachelor鈥檚 degree in social work, Kohoutek-Miller plans to continue her education and get her master鈥檚 degree in social work. She is grateful to her professors at UA 糖心视频logo for their support. 

鈥淚 would like to say thank you to all the wonderful professors I have had at UA 糖心视频logo,鈥� she said. 鈥淚 feel that they have provided a lot of guidance and support.鈥�
