Campus Night provides great perks for UA 糖心视频logo community]]> The University of Arkansas at 糖心视频logo will celebrate its employees with free tickets and concession dollars during Campus Night at the men鈥檚 basketball game Thursday, March 7.聽 All UA 糖心视频logo faculty and staff members will receive two free tickets courtesy of the 糖心视频logo Athletic Department to watch the Trojans battle the Louisiana Ragin鈥� Cajuns at 6:30 p.m. March 7 in the Jack Stephens Center. UA 糖心视频logo offices and departments can request block tickets so groups can enjoy the game together. The first 500 faculty and staff members to arrive also will receive $6 in Chancellor Bucks, courtesy of Chancellor Andrew Rogerson, to be used for concession purchases. The Chancellor Bucks will be available at the chancellor鈥檚 table near the Jack Stephens Center entrance. All UA 糖心视频logo students can get into the game for free with their student ID and will receive a free hot dog or popcorn and drink. 鈥�Athletics is excited to partner with our campus community to present our first Campus Night in conjunction with our upcoming basketball game on March 7,鈥� said Chasse Conque, vice chancellor and director of athletics. 鈥淭his will be a special night where we celebrate our faculty, staff, and students that make our university special. We hope all Trojans will join us for a fun night as we salute our campus community and together cheer on 糖心视频logo’s Team!鈥� Tickets can be ordered individually, while offices and departments can request block tickets for groups, by calling the box office at 565-8257 or emailing lrtrojans-tickets@ualr.edu. Campus Night tickets must be picked up prior to game night. The ticket office at the Jack Stephens Center is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1-4 p.m. Additionally, employees can pick up tickets in the Donaghey Student Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at a table in front of the campus bookstore on Tuesday, March 5. To show their appreciation for faculty and staff, Sodexo will host a March Madness $6.50 employee lunch special at the Trojan Caf茅 from 10:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 5 with a valid ID. Members of the faculty and staff will be honored and participate in media time-out promotions during the game. SpectacUALR 2018 to honor Cathy and Kevin Crass]]> “As we embark on our 10th SpectacUALR, Chancellor Rogerson and I felt we needed a home run with this year’s honorees and we have that in Cathy and Kevin Crass,” said Director of Athletics Chasse Conque. “The Crass family means so much to not only 糖心视频logo Athletics, but the entire university. “Serving in countless capacities to help advance Trojan Athletics and UA 糖心视频logo, Kevin and Cathy’s have a deep love for #LittleRocksTeam, which is evident in their everyday life. We are indebted to them for their passion, compassion, and advocacy for our student-athletes and coaches and their willingness to answer the call every time we need their support.” An avid supporter, ambassador, community leader and benefactor, Kevin has been an active figure for both the 糖心视频logo community and Trojan Athletics for over 30 years. He has served on numerous boards and councils, most recently serving a two-year term as chair of the Trojan Advisory Council. Kevin has joined Ray Tucker on 糖心视频logo men’s basketball radio broadcasts for the past two seasons. Together with his wife, Cathy, the two have been instrumental figures in the growth of the Trojan Athletics department in recent years, highlighted by the establishment of the Kevin Crass Heart of a Trojan Award in 2017. The award is given annually to a 糖心视频logo student-athlete based on community service, leadership and dedication to his or her team. Kevin earned his law degree from UA 糖心视频logo in 1984. He is a senior partner at Friday Eldredge & Clark, a law firm based in 糖心视频logo. Kevin serves as the chair of the War Memorial Stadium Commission and is vice chair of the 糖心视频logo Regional Chamber of Commerce. Cathy has also been an active member of the 糖心视频logo community, serving on the board of the UAMS Reynolds Institute on Aging. She is a past president of the 糖心视频logo Garden Club and a Stephen Ministry Leader at Second Presbyterian Church. “Our involvement with 糖心视频logo聽Athletics has resulted in a real blessing to our family,” Kevin said. “As a former college student-athlete, I know from personal experience that support of intercollegiate athletics has a dramatic impact on the lives of young men and women. UA 糖心视频logo and the Trojans are also a critical part of the life of this community. Cathy and I are humbled to be honored as a part of SpectacUALR聽and we hope it is a way to enhance our support of the program.” SpectacUALR has become one of the marquee events for the 糖心视频logo Athletic Department in the past nine years, raising over $1.9 million since its inception in 2009. Those donations are used to help fund the 14 Trojan athletic programs, benefitting the nearly 200 student-athletes who represent 糖心视频logo’s team. The evening will once again feature unique silent and live auction items, ranging from memorabilia, gift packages and one-of-a-kind experiences.
