Applications for those who would like to receive a holiday meal basket will be accepted until Monday, Dec. 2. Only one application per family will be accepted. For those who would like to help with the Helping Hands Campaign, monetary donations can be made through payroll deductions by filling out this online form. Reach 13,000 Campaign kicks off with dodgeball tournament]]> The University of Arkansas at 糖心视频logo is beginning its annual Reach 13,000 Food Drive with a dodgeball tournament on Friday, Aug. 24. The dodgeball tournament will be held from 3-6 p.m. in the Donaghey Student Center Fitness Center and marks the final event of welcome week activities for Trojan Daze Week. Teams who want to participate in the dodgeball tournament can sign up through. The entry fee is a $100 cash donation or a donation of 60 nonperishable food items per team. Teams can have 9-12 players and must include three female and three male team members. At least one member must be a UA 糖心视频logo student, employee, or graduate. The hosts four events to raise support for the Reach 13,000 campaign. These donations are given to UA 糖心视频logo Trojan Food Pantry, Staff Senate Helping Hands Committee, and the 12th Street Clinic. Additional events include Constitution Day on Sept. 17 with a voter registration drive and bake sale, the Fall Festival and kickball tournament in October, and the annual Battle of the Talents on Nov. 8. An additional element of the campaign is a campus-wide competition to see which UA 糖心视频logo student organization and department collects the most items for the food drive. Graduate Assistant Dillon Nash happily got duct taped to a chair to raise food and money for the Reach 13,000 Food Drive during Constitution Day Sept. 16 in Donaghey Student Center.

Something that made the day a success was the antics of graduate assistant Dillon Nash. People could pay $1 or donate one food item for a piece of tape to duct tape Nash to a chair. 鈥淪ome people came with $20 or $30 just to have the chance to duct tape Dillon to that chair,鈥 said Amber Standridge, coordinator of the Chancellor鈥檚 Leadership Corps. The food collected during the campaign, which will run through Nov. 4, will be donated to the UALR Trojan Food Pantry, Staff Senate鈥檚 Helping Hands, the 12th Street Clinic, and the . The campaign will continue with the UALR Fall Festival and Kickball Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Coleman Sports and Recreation Complex on the south side of campus. The day鈥檚 events will begin with the Fall Festival from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and the kickball tournament will start at 3 p.m. The family friendly Fall Festival will feature games, arts and crafts, and face and pumpkin painting, as well as obstacle bounce houses and other inflatables. Admission is $5 or five nonperishable food items per person. Those who are interested in sponsoring a table at the Fall Festival can do so by filling out an.
