Hogan had an 11-year stint as the head coach for the Trojans spanning from 1986-1996 where he recorded 276 wins, the most in school history. In the 1987 season, Hogan orchestrated one of the greatest moments and upsets in school history by taking down then No. 1 Oklahoma State. “We simply wouldn’t聽have the 糖心视频logo baseball program without all of Coach’s hard work and the way he basically built the field with his bare hands in to what it is now,” head coach praised. “We want to recognize Coach Hogan for all the hours and time he has put in with this program and the community to help support the 糖心视频logo baseball program.” The banquet will showcase the entire 2018 Trojans baseball program, which features many new faces including eight new freshmen and 14 junior college transfers. Players will be signing autographs throughout the evening and meeting fans of all ages. “This is always a night with great energy and excitement about the upcoming season,” Curry said. “It is a wonderful opportunity for our community to meet the team, hear about how the program and players have connected with the community and how the fall has gone.” General admission tickets are $35 while corporate tables with 10 seats are $500. UA 糖心视频logo announces 2018 Trojan Hall of Fame Class]]> Simon Gould, , and Wyn Norwood have each had an indelible effect on the 糖心视频logo Athletic Department and will officially take their place during the Hall of Fame festivities Feb. 2-3, 2018. 糖心视频logo will hold an induction ceremony on Saturday, Feb. 3, as part of the Trojans’ basketball doubleheader against Georgia State during Letterman’s Weekend. A Letterman’s social will be held Friday, Feb. 2, in the Legends Room at the Jack Stephens Center. Prior to Saturday’s doubleheader, former letterwinners will be treated to a pregame reception and receive complimentary tickets to the games. “There is a rich history in 糖心视频logo Athletics and this year’s class is another example of foundation builders and the legacy they have in our department’s history,” Director of Athletics Chasse Conque said.聽“A highly-decorated student-athlete and two former coaches and administrators round out what is another deserving class. Our university is indebted to these individuals for the impact they have had on our campus and in our department. We look forward to celebrating and inducting our 2018 class in February during what will be a very special weekend on our campus.” With the addition of Gould, Hogan. and Norwood, the now consists of 63 individuals and four teams. Simon Gould Simon Gould was a two-time All-American who helped the Trojan water polo team become one of the nation’s best, ranked seventh nationally in 1988 and eighth in 1989. A four-time Southern Water Polo Conference Championship MVP, Gould was named the 1988 NCAA Eastern Intercollegiate Water Polo Championships MVP, helping the Trojans win the championship in the process. After being the top goal scorer for three out聽of聽four seasons, Gould went on to play with the Australian National Team. Gould also excelled in the classroom, received the Scholar-Athlete Award for Academic Excellence and Sporting Achievement from 1987-89. Gould was inducted in the Albury/Wodonga Sporting聽Hall聽of聽Fame聽and the College Water Polo Association聽Hall聽of聽Fame in 2013. Gary Hogan A name synonymous with 糖心视频logo Athletics, Hogan directed the 糖心视频logo baseball program from 1986-1996, compiling 276 wins, which is the most in program history. One of the most memorable of those victories was the win over top-ranked Oklahoma State in 1987. Since stepping away as head coach, Hogan has been the driving force in the rebuild聽of聽what is now known as Gary Hogan聽Field, bringing in support north聽of聽$500,000. As an administrator, he has helped 糖心视频logo grow exponentially as he has forged partnerships with many 糖心视频logo businesses. Outside聽of聽the program, Hogan is an award-winning broadcaster when he worked for KTHV and WTVM stations. He also spent two years in the Chicago Cubs organization. Wyn Norwood A six-time Sun Belt Conference Coach聽of聽the Year, Norwood oversaw the men’s and women’s golf teams for 13 seasons before moving into an Athletic Administration role for three years, working聽as聽糖心视频logo’s associate athletic director to help聽raise funds聽for the Trojan Athletic Association. Norwood helped guide the Trojans to a pair of Sun Belt Conference championships during his tenure.聽 A member of the Arkansas Golf Hall of Fame, Norwood is a past president聽of聽the Arkansas State Golf Association, Mid-South Golf Association, and Southern Golf Association while also serving on the United States Golf Association Committee for 20 years. Norwood served as captain聽of聽the United States golf team in 1995 for the Simon Bolivar Cup played in Venezuela before coaching the United States golf team in the 2011 World University Games played in Shenzhen, China.]]>
