UA 糖心视频logo Staff Senate to host Fall Open House Dec. 5]]> The University of Arkansas at 糖心视频logo Staff Senate will host its annual Fall Open House on Wednesday, Dec. 5, to raise money for the holiday season for UA 糖心视频logo families in need. The open house will offer a reception for UA 糖心视频logo employees to visit and network, win door prizes, use the Employee Wellness Center鈥檚 new massage chair, play board games, and bid on fun prizes in the teacup and silent auctions. Light refreshments will be served during the event. Guests are invited to bring a brown bag lunch to enjoy in fellowship with their coworkers. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Donaghey Student Center Ledbetter Hall. The open house kicks off Staff Senate鈥檚 annual. Money raised and donations of nonperishable food items collected from the open house will be used to put together holiday meal baskets for UA 糖心视频logo applicants who would otherwise not be able to provide a traditional holiday dinner for their families. Tickets for the teacup auction are $5 for six tickets. Participants also can receive one free auction ticket, up to a maximum of five, for every two items donated from the list of items needed to create the holiday meal baskets. Check out the items for auction.听 Items needed include stuffing mix, cornbread mix, cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, macaroni and cheese, green beans, green peas, black eyed peas, corn, rice, canned potatoes, canned yams, cranberry sauce, cake mix and frosting, Kool-Aid, and nonperishable juices. Reach 13,000 Campaign kicks off with dodgeball tournament]]> The University of Arkansas at 糖心视频logo is beginning its annual Reach 13,000 Food Drive with a dodgeball tournament on Friday, Aug. 24. The dodgeball tournament will be held from 3-6 p.m. in the Donaghey Student Center Fitness Center and marks the final event of welcome week activities for Trojan Daze Week. Teams who want to participate in the dodgeball tournament can sign up through. The entry fee is a $100 cash donation or a donation of 60 nonperishable food items per team. Teams can have 9-12 players and must include three female and three male team members. At least one member must be a UA 糖心视频logo student, employee, or graduate. The hosts four events to raise support for the Reach 13,000 campaign. These donations are given to UA 糖心视频logo Trojan Food Pantry, Staff Senate Helping Hands Committee, and the 12th Street Clinic. Additional events include Constitution Day on Sept. 17 with a voter registration drive and bake sale, the Fall Festival and kickball tournament in October, and the annual Battle of the Talents on Nov. 8. An additional element of the campaign is a campus-wide competition to see which UA 糖心视频logo student organization and department collects the most items for the food drive. At the end of the campaign, the winners will receive a trophy in honor of their dedication to fighting hunger. UA 糖心视频logo departments and organizations can request a food drive donation box by. The most needed items include children鈥檚 books and coloring books, crayons, markers, toothbrushes, toothpaste, personal hygiene products, corn, cornbread mix, rice, pasta, Kool-Aid, peanut butter, jelly, cereal, Ramen noodles, and bottled water, as well as cans of green beans, beans, chicken, tuna, potatoes, fruit, pasta sauce, and soups. The Chancellor鈥檚 Leadership Corps Scholarship Program hosts four events to raise support for the Reach 13,000 Donation Drive. These donations are given to UA 糖心视频logo Trojan Food Pantry, Staff Senate Helping Hands Committee, the 12th Street Clinic, and the Arkansas Foodbank. As part of the drive, donations of nonperishable food items, children鈥檚 books, children鈥檚 coloring books, crayons, and markers are collected from August to November. 聽 To participate in the kickball tournament, visit the to create a team by Wednesday, Aug. 16. Items needed include stuffing mix, cornbread mix, cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, macaroni and cheese, green beans, green peas, black eyed peas, corn, rice, canned potatoes, canned yams, cranberry sauce, cake mix and frosting, Kool-Aid, and nonperishable juices.
