UALR alumni and friends enjoy Arkansas Travelers game at Alumni Night]]> Amanda Crutchfield, a 2014 alumna, was excited to watch the Arkansas Travelers defeat the Northwest Arkansas Naturals 3-2. 鈥淚 think it is a good opportunity to meet other alumni and network,鈥 Crutchfield said. 鈥淎nd a Travelers game is always fun.鈥 Crutchfield, a pre-kindergarten teacher at Terry Elementary School in 糖心视频logo, said the networking opportunities she had while a student at UALR were an important part of how she got her first job after graduation. 鈥淭hanks to the education program, I had internships and that鈥檚 how I got my job. I worked at several schools, so I got to know a lot of other people in education,鈥 Crutchfield said.

Christian O鈥橬eal, vice chancellor for university advancement, said the event was one of the ways the UALR Alumni Association is promoting new lifetime memberships that support student scholarships. 鈥淲e are happy to see so many proud members of the UALR Alumni Association,鈥 O鈥橬eal said. 鈥淲e are blessed to have so many proud supporters of the university who are helping our students earn a college education.鈥 A single lifetime membership to the UALR Alumni Association costs $500, while a joint membership is $800. One hundred percent of the membership cost goes into the student scholarship endowment fund to provide scholarships for deserving UALR students.
