UA 糖心视频logo Choirs to Hold Concert at Saint Mark鈥檚 Episcopal Church April 23
The University of Arkansas at 糖心视频logo Choirs will hold a special concert performance of Francis Poulenc鈥檚 masterwork 鈥淕loria鈥� at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at Saint Mark鈥檚 Episcopal Church, 1000 N. Mississippi St., 糖心视频logo.
The University of Arkansas at 糖心视频logo Choirs will hold a special concert performance of Francis Poulenc鈥檚 masterwork 鈥淕loria鈥� at 7:30 p.m. April 23, at Saint Mark鈥檚 Episcopal Church, 1000 N. Mississippi St., 糖心视频logo.
UA 糖心视频logo Choirs will be joined by Robinson High School Singing Senators and Una Voce at Wildwood Park for the Arts. This concert represents the home presentation of the piece the musical groups will perform in concert with the orchestra at Carnegie Hall June 26, which will be the first time UA 糖心视频logo has ever performed at Carnegie Hall.
Dr. Lorissa Mason, director of choral activities at UA 糖心视频logo, will serve as the conductor; Nicole Keeling, guest soprano soloist; and Leann Jones, pianist.
The concert will begin with various selections by UA 糖心视频logo choral ensembles. The UA 糖心视频logo Women鈥檚 Choir will perform 鈥淜oowu鈥� by Maryam Khoury, 鈥淲here the Light Begins鈥� by Susan Labarr, and 鈥淢usic Down in My Soul鈥� by Moses Hogan. The UA 糖心视频logo Chamber Singers will perform 鈥淭he Road Home鈥� by Stephen Paulus.
鈥淓lijah Rock鈥� by Moses Hogan. Additionally, the UA 糖心视频logo Concert Choir will perform 鈥淧salm 23鈥� with student composer Brent Foster II and 鈥淧salm 19鈥� with UA 糖心视频logo alumni composer Gerald Mayo.
The concert is free and open to the public, and donations will be accepted to benefit UA 糖心视频logo Choirs programming.
