UA Ƶlogo to Host ‘Voces Omnes’ Concert March 7 Featuring UA Ƶlogo and High School Choirs
The UA Ƶlogo Concert Choir
The University of Arkansas at Ƶlogo will host a free musical performance featuring UA Ƶlogo Choirs and guest performers from the community on Monday, March. 7.
The popular “Voces Omnes” concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall in the Fine Arts Building at UA Ƶlogo. Special guest performers include the Parkview High School Lab Singers, Central High School Madrigals, and the Robinson High School Singing Senators.
UA Ƶlogo Choirs will be performing a student showcase collage, including student compositions, student conductors, highlights of All State and Southwest Regional Collegiate Honor Choir singers, and more. The night’s performance will include the premier of “The Harbor and the Sea” – a commissioned piece by composer Ellen Voth to be performed by the UA Ƶlogo Women’s Choir.
Selections to be performed by UA Ƶlogo Choirs include a “City Called Heaven” (arr. Josephine Poelinitz) – conducted by student conductor Carmen Ramirez; “Psalm 23” by student composer Brent Foster II; “The Road Home” by Stephen Paulus; “The Song We Sing” by Jacob Narverud, and more.
Arkansas high school choirs will perform CPA (Choral Performance Assessment) programs in preparation for their upcoming CPA competitions.
