UALR alum named Marco Rubio chief of staff

Clint Reed, a graduate of the University of Arkansas at 糖心视频logo, has been promoted to chief of staff for former Republican presidential candidate and U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida. Reed, who holds a Master of Public Administration from UALR, previously served as Rubio鈥檚 2016 campaign manager for his Senate re-election campaign. He also managed Rubio鈥檚 presidential primary campaigns in Iowa and Florida. 聽 鈥淔or over a year, I鈥檝e gotten to know and work closely with Clint on my campaigns, including two in Florida. He鈥檚 a superb manager who loves Florida, has earned my trust, and relishes the challenge of solving tough problems,鈥 Rubio said in a press release. Since 2009, Reed has been a partner at Impact Management Group, a public affairs firm headquartered in 糖心视频logo with clients that have included federal, state, and local political campaigns; the Republican Governors Association; trade associations; and businesses. He also served as executive director of the Republican Party of Arkansas and successfully managed grassroots operations for the 2004 Bush-Cheney re-election in Arkansas. Reed earned a Bachelor of Arts in history from Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas, where he has been inducted into the school鈥檚 Basketball Hall of Fame.
