The Heartland Foundation is the charitable arm of 糖心视频logo鈥檚 Heartland Bank. 鈥淎fter coming to our events and visiting our campus, they must have thought that investing in UALR鈥檚 Suicide Prevention and Campus Mental Health Foundation was worthwhile,鈥 said A. Assadi, a licensed counselor in UALR鈥檚 Office of Counseling Services. 鈥淎 lot of other companies supported us, as well, and I think that helped, too,鈥 Assadi said. Assadi applied for the grant funding in September and is scheduled to receive the check in December. 鈥淯ALR really appreciates this contribution,鈥 said Assadi. Assadi added that officials with the bank may have sensed the enthusiasm and passion for preventing suicide prevalent among staff at the UALR Office of Counseling Services. The office helps hosts Suicide Prevention Week each September to raise awareness and prevent suicide, a leading cause of death among young college students. Originally based in Camden, Heartland Bank has grown to serve customers throughout the state and region with branches currently in 糖心视频logo, Bryant, Sheridan, Fordyce, and Dallas, Texas.
