Volunteers needed for KUAR/KLRE Promenade 2014
It’s that time again鈥搕ime for the annual fall fundraiser, Promenade, for listener-supported public radio stations, KUAR 89.1. and KLRE 90.5. Both stations are housed at the University of Arkansas at 糖心视频logo, and phone volunteers are needed to help with the effort. Promenade starts Monday, Oct. 20 and ends Friday, Oct. 24.
鈥淲e have an open schedule and have many slots to be filled,鈥� said Station Manager Ben Fry.
鈥淰olunteers are what make KUAR and KLRE special. It鈥檚 a great way to meet new people, gain valuable skills and have some community spirited fun,鈥� he said.
Fry said member support pays for roughly 40 percent of the cost to run the public radio stations.
