New weekend MBA with healthcare focus coming to UALR
Beginning January 2015, the University of Arkansas at 糖心视频logo College of Business will offer a new degree option, the weekend Master of Business Administration with a healthcare focus.
Classes will meet one Saturday a month from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with remaining content delivered online. The program鈥檚 all-inclusive costs are $25,000 and paid over the course of enrollment, rather than in one lump sum.
鈥淚t鈥檚 the same program as the traditional evening MBA, but with electives and coursework centering on the healthcare industry,鈥 said Dr. Sonya Premeaux, associate dean of graduate studies at the UALR College of Business.
Recently redesigned from the ground up with input from published research and central Arkansas business leaders, the Weekend MBA will offer a blend of hard and soft skills needed for business, according to Premeaux.
鈥淎ll students start and end the program together and work on team-based projects,鈥 said Premeaux. 鈥淭his helps develop close relationships, hone teamwork skills and support peer networks that will follow them into the workplace.鈥
In October, Premeaux will conduct a series of 鈥淐offee Talks鈥 throughout central Arkansas so that interested persons may enjoy a cup of coffee courtesy of UALR and find out more about the program.
All times are set for 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the following locations:
